"Jalsa knocked it out of the park with the food for our wedding; we still have friends telling us how good the food was months after the wedding! After our initial call, where we described the vision we had for our menu, Chef Vittal took the reins and created a wonderful variety of dishes based on our preferences for our tasting. We didn’t want the usual Indian dishes that everyone was familiar with, and we loved how Chef was able to create very unique dishes with flavors that were accessible even to those less familiar with Indian food (especially in regards to lower spice levels). We had a hard time choosing which dishes to go with, but some of our favorites included an ube kofta (this was a big hit with all our guests!) and the baingan waterchestnut thecha. His staff did a great job with serving and ensuring that the buffet trays stayed full and most importantly, hot. Of course, it’s not a Jalsa meal without their infamous mini desserts, and we saw many of our guests grabbing multiple of each because they were the perfect size and so tasty. The chai served after dinner was the perfect cap to a delicious meal. We’re so happy we went with Jalsa, and are already waiting for the next wedding we go to catered by them!"

"Jalsa was an incredible caterer for our wedding! We had the opportunity to do a tasting before we booked them. Normally they charge for tastings, but they gave it to us for free. We also had the opportunity to take home other dishes we wanted to try, especially when they had new offerings on their menu - they pretty much insisted which was very sweet. All of their food was incredible and got a lot of compliments from our guests. We tried to do a mix of normal classics that you see at weddings (Butter Chicken, Saag Paneer), but also mix in some Bengali dishes like Aloo Posto and Luchi. We also really enjoyed all the desserts. The raspberry lamington is a cake I'll never forget - if only I could get more in the future! They are a little hard to get hold of sometimes via email, but nonetheless they were responsive enough to our needs and executed perfectly at the wedding. Everything was fantastic and we cannot thank them enough for making our special day so tasty!"
