"Got some snacks and sweets from here Snacks: Both samosa and spring roll were really bad in taste and filling. Spring roll felt double deep fried with old oil texture. All this for 2x-3x of prices then usual grocery store snacks. Sweet: the packaging was nice, but the cost was high $18-20/lb. Milk cake tasted avg, didn't try others as I was gifting so can't comment on quality or taste."
"Once a king of sweets in Bay Area where people lined up for getting sweets during Diwali. Today I stopped by at Rangoli and picked up a pound of mixed sweets. got home and when tasted The mithai was highly disappointed to find sweets Tasting sour - specially the chum chum, cream filled Gulab jamun and Pista burfi. The sweets appeared stale. Being milk products they go sour if not kept refrigerated and/or are a week or two old. Had to spit out of the mouth. The flavors have also changes. This can make people sick. something has changed here. what a disappointment! Definitely need to report to health safety department."
"If you want lots of sugar and calories, this is the best place to go! Very much"
"Beware deceptive pricing! I purchased a container of their βhot mixβ fried snacks yesterday. The guy at the cash register weighed it (showed 0.63 pounds). He punched something into a calculator and turned to me to say $10. That seems weird, right? Youβre telling me the fried snacks are $15.87/pound? I donβt know how he came up with that number. Note there are no prices marked in the store. To top it off, the mix tasted stale. Weβre in the South Bay- there are much better prices for fresher food!"
"We went here to get sweets and snacks. They claimed them to be fresh. We bought a lot. We went here around 7 pm. The same evening around 9 pm, we opened our snacks packets. We were met with a whole colony of fungi. We could only discover this since we opened the kachori to eat it. If we had just taken a bite out of it, we wouldn't even have noticed it. I have attached pictures of the fungus colony too. The next day, we went to the shop to show this to the sales person. He didn't take any responsibility nor did he acknowledge their mistake. What he said was that the Kachori grew fungus in an afternoon. He said since the boxes were sitting in the heat of summer, they grew an entire colony of fungi in an afternoon. Who would believe this? After the rat debacle, I am seriously surprised that this shop is still running. I was willing to give them the benefit of doubt and try out their food but this was seriously dangerous. Before we left the shop, we saw a child and his father buy things from here. Children are facing the danger of ingesting vile things from this shop. This shop seriously needs to be closed. This is a serious health code violation. A formula for getting food poisoning overnight."
