Chitresh Das Institute

At the Chitresh Das Institute, based in San Francisco, we carry forward the illustrious legacy of Pandit Chitresh Das through dynamic Kathak training, classical Indian percussion, and expressive storytelling. Under the artistic leadership of Charlotte Moraga and executive director Celine Schein Das, we offer structured classes for children, youth, and adults across the Bay Area. We specialize in rhythmically intricate, emotionally resonant classical Indian dance choreography for stage performances, solo debuts, and special cultural presentations. Our curriculum emphasizes physical stamina, complex footwork, swift pirouettes, and nuanced facial abhinaya.
